Warsaw, the Capital of Poland

On both banks of the river Wisła, Vistula in English, lies peacefully the capital of Poland, whose history is both fearful and glorious. Warszawa, or Warsaw in English, is the biggest city in Poland and is a sparkling and enjoyable city with many historical buildings, churches and monuments, old town, modern city and numerous parks to stroll in. The symbol of the city is the Mermaid, featured on the city seal. The Mermaid, armed with sword and shield, has been ready to help protect the city and its residents.

The conference was held at the Radisson Blu Centrum Hotel. The hotel is located at the city centre, 30 min from the airport by car and at walking distance from the Warsaw Central Railway Station (Warszawa Centralna).

Travel information
By Air

Warsaw Chopin Airport is located about 8 km from the city centre, but still within the city limits.
The airport has convenient connections to the Warsaw Central Railway Station (Warszawa Centralna)
- by bus: day line 175 and night line N32
- by train: SKM lines S2 and S3, KM line
Please note that some trains stop at the station "Warszawa Srodmiescie" instead of "Warszawa Centralna".

Arrivers may take also a taxi at the terminal entrance. For safety reasons, it is advised to use licensed taxi services offered at Chopin Airport. Taxi tariffs should be clearly displayed in the car window. The taxi ride from the airport to the conference venue costs approximately 10 Euro.

By Rail

Please choose Warsaw Central Railway Station (Warszawa Centralna) as your final destination.
The conference place, Radisson Blu Centrum Hotel, is located at walking distance (1.3 km) from this station.

By Car

Most convenient way to access Warsaw by car is to drive A2 motorway from Berlin. It is also possible to reach Warsaw by national roads no. 7 and no. 8 (North-South), and national road no. 2 (East-West).
